Kapha Dosha: The Energy of Stability
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this episode of Root & Restore — An Ayurvedic Way of Life, I explore Kapha dosha, the energy of stability, structure, and nourishment.
Kapha is composed of earth and water, the elements that ground us, hold us, and give form to both body and mind. When in balance, Kapha expresses as deep compassion, patience, resilience, and a steady, nurturing presence.
But when Kapha becomes excessive, this same grounded energy can shift into heaviness, stagnation, and resistance to change.
Together, we gently explore:
✨ The qualities and role of Kapha in the body and mind
✨ Signs of imbalance — both physical and emotional
✨ How stagnation can quietly build over time
✨ Ayurvedic practices to awaken, energize, and restore flow
We begin with a grounding yet activating mantra practice using the bīja sounds RAM, YAM, and HUM — inviting fire and movement into the system to help gently mobilize Kapha energy.
This episode is a reminder that we are not here to remove Kapha…
but to bring it back into balance.
Through warmth, lightness, and intentional movement, we begin to shift from stillness… into flow.
Take a breath, settle in, and listen closely, your body may already be telling you where it’s ready to move.
With love,
Chloe 🤍
